How Brigham Talent LLC handles personal information from employers and candidates.
This Privacy Policy explains how Brigham Talent LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with our website and staffing services.
Who we are
Brigham Talent LLC (Brigham Talent) is a remote staffing company. This policy covers personal information collected through https://brighamtalent.com and in the course of providing staffing and recruiting services.
Information we collect
Contact information
When you use a form on this site, we collect the details you provide - typically your name, email address, company, and the content of your message.
Candidate information
If you join our talent network or apply to a role, we collect the information in that form: your name, email, country and city, time zone, LinkedIn profile, role category, current or most recent job title, years of experience, English proficiency, tools and software, desired compensation, availability, work-hour availability, and a professional summary.
Sensitive information
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number or other government identification number, passport scans, banking details, date of birth, health information, family or marital status, race or ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, or sexual orientation. Please do not include any of that in a form or a résumé sent to us.
If you voluntarily provide information that we did not request, including sensitive information contained in a résumé or other document, we will use it only where reasonably necessary for recruiting, compliance, security, or legal purposes. We do not use sensitive personal characteristics to make discriminatory recruiting or employment decisions.
Résumés
If you upload a résumé, we store it and the information it contains. A résumé is considered part of your candidate profile and is treated the same way as the rest of it.
Information from other sources
We may obtain professional information about potential candidates from publicly available sources, professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn, referrals, professional networks, recruiting platforms, and résumé databases that we are authorized to use. This may include your name, professional experience, education, general location, skills, professional contact information, and publicly available profile information.
If we contact you based on information obtained from another source, you may ask us to stop contacting you or to delete the information we maintain about you, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Employer submissions
When an employer submits a role, we collect the company and contact details and the role requirements provided, including any job description uploaded.
Technical information
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type, and pages requested. These are used to operate and secure the site.
How we use personal information
- To respond to messages and hiring requests.
- To assess candidates for specific roles.
- To present candidates to employers.
- To manage recruiting searches on behalf of employer clients.
- To contact candidates about potentially relevant opportunities.
- To operate, secure, maintain, and improve this website.
- To comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, misuse, or security incidents where appropriate.
Automated tools and artificial intelligence
We may in the future use software, automation, or artificial intelligence tools to assist with administrative recruiting activities, such as organizing candidate information, summarizing professional experience, improving job descriptions, searching candidate profiles, or supporting recruiter workflows.
Brigham Talent does not intend to rely solely on automated systems to make final hiring decisions on behalf of employer clients.
If we introduce automated decision-making practices that require additional notices, consent, or rights under applicable law, we will update our practices and disclosures accordingly.
When we share personal information
With employers. Candidate information is shared with a prospective employer only in connection with a specific role, and we discuss that role with the candidate before sharing their details.
With service providers. We use third parties to operate the business - for example website hosting, form handling, email, and file storage. They receive only what they need to provide their service and are expected to protect it.
When required by law. We may disclose personal information to government authorities or others where we are legally required to do so, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or behavioral tracking cookies. If website analytics are enabled, they are configured, where reasonably possible, to collect aggregate or limited usage information rather than build advertising profiles about individual visitors. If our use of cookies or tracking technologies materially changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.
Data retention
We generally retain candidate profiles and résumés for up to 24 months after the candidate's most recent interaction with Brigham Talent, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for an active recruiting process, requested by the candidate, or required for legal, compliance, security, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes.
We may contact candidates during that period regarding relevant opportunities or to confirm whether they wish to remain in our talent network.
If you ask us to delete your personal information, we will delete or de-identify it where reasonably possible, except where we are legally permitted or required to retain certain information.
Employer and client information is retained for the duration of the business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for legitimate business, contractual, accounting, compliance, and legal purposes.
International data processing
Brigham Talent works with candidates and employers in multiple countries. Personal information may be stored or processed in the United States or in other countries where Brigham Talent or its service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws where you live.
Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to request access to personal information we maintain about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion, obtain a copy of certain information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or opt out of future recruiting communications.
Some jurisdictions may provide additional rights. Those rights apply regardless of whether every right is specifically listed in this Privacy Policy.
To submit a privacy request, email privacy@brighamtalent.com or use our contact form.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to our website and access controls for systems containing candidate or client information.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site and our services are intended for working professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
If we change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Where appropriate or required by law, we may provide additional notice of material changes.
